Active Ageing
As the minds age, there may be cognitive impairments which could lead to dementia and similar issues.
As long as the brain is kept active and engaged, we believe that some of these impairments can be delayed. Its never too late to learn something new and crochet or weaving may well be that new skill.
Weaving, Crochet or Knitting helps with fine motor skills, keeping fingers and hands agile as age catches up.
Typically the crochet patterns involve some aspect of maths, keeping our mind and memory sharp.
So, we work with the elderly to renew the passion for learning, build a real social network and find a sense of purpose together.
If you are a trained knitter, come and join us in our other initiatives - Giving Back Projects and on our Thoughtful Thursdays / Soulful Sundays.
